With earnings release season in full swing, HCS Energy Consulting is tracking the growing production from the Oklahoma producing basins. It looks like Enable Midstream, which recently released its 4Q 2018 earnings results is joining the throughput growth celebration that was 2018. The company reported that it gathered 4.62 trillion Btus per day and processed 2.57 trillion Btus per day in the 4th quarter of 2018 which was 12% and 19% higher than a year ago. 2018 also included the acquisition of the Velosity crude oil and condensate gathering system in Oklahoma and new interstate transportation contracts, even if financial comparisons to 2017 are muddied by the implementation of the new ASC 606 accounting standard. If Enable keeps feeding on higher gas gathering volumes, its system will continue to grow. One example is the Golden Run pipeline announced earlier this month that is anchored by a 20 year commitment from Golden Pass LNG. For Enable, 2019 is starting off well. What do you think?
